Hello there!
Carly Jeannette Rubin is from green and sunny Gainesville, FL (Go Gators!), but now lives in NYC. She is very close with her family, hometown friends, and pitbull so she takes every opportunity she can to visit them, and sneak in a beach trip while she’s there. Carly recently graduated from NYU Tisch where she received her BFA in Drama at the Atlantic Acting Studio, her BS in Educational Theatre through NYU Steinhardt, and a minor in Child & Adolescent Mental Health Studies.
Carly has been dancing since she was 2, and according to her mother, “came out making noise” and was singing and talking from the very beginning. She started taking voice lessons when she was 6 which inspired a love and passion in her for vocal performance and pedagogy. Carly has always considered singing her second language, so she decided to continue her vocal journey at NYU Steinhardt to receive her Masters of Music in Vocal Performance- Musical Theatre and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy. Through this program, Carly works as an adjunct professor teaching private voice lessons at NYU, an experience that brings her so much joy!
